As we enter the WPLL off-season our players are shifting their focus towards going into the lacrosse community and holding clinics for youth players across the country. Kicking off our fall clinic tour, New York Fight attacker and #1 overall pick in the 2018 WPLL College Draft Kylie Ohlmiller recently traveled to Naples, Florida to hold a clinic with Naples Lacrosse Club. Ohlmiller was able to connect directly with the over 100 girls present, teaching them skills while also sharing her experiences as a top collegiate and professional athlete.
“The clinic was a tremendous success,” explained Naples Lacrosse Club Director Jayson Saunders. “Our goal at Naples Lacrosse Club has always been to foster an environment where girls of all ages and skill levels can feel encouraged and motivated to take their game to new heights. Having the WPLL be so hands on to help facilitate this not only shows the girls of Southwest Florida where this great game could take them as players, but also, that there is a vested national interest in their development and commitment. Thank you again to Rachael DeCecco and Kylie Ohlmiller for being incredible instructors and valued role models for our local Lacrosse community.”
“It was incredible seeing how excited the Naples Lacrosse Club athletes were to meet and learn from Kylie,” said COO of the WPLL Foundation Rachael DeCecco. “As a league we are dedicated to introducing players across the country to our pros, their role models. It helps show them that they too can accomplish their dreams and play at the highest level.”
