Pennington, N.J.- The WPLL has announced the addition of Samantha Jaffe to the staff as their marketing and digital media coordinator. She will focus on growing the WPLL brand with her primary responsibilities being graphic and multimedia design, marketing and promotional strategy and corporate partnerships. “We are thrilled to have Sam join the WPLL team, explained WPLL Senior Vice President Rachael Dececco. “Her experience both as a player and a media and marketing professional make her a perfect fit. In addition to her industry knowledge, she brings a deep commitment to helping build a platform for the women in our game.”

Jaffe previously served as the athletics marketing coordinator at her alma mater, Stony Brook University; with the Seawolves, she served as the primary marketing contact for numerous sports, including the school’s nationally ranked football program. Prior to her employment, Jaffe was a four-year letter winner on the nationally ranked women’s lacrosse program, and served as the co-president of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee her senior year. She went on to play professionally in 2017. Jaffe also has experience in coaching, as a head coach with national lacrosse prep powerhouse Team 91 for three years.

“I am extremely excited to join the WPLL family and help grow the game of women’s lacrosse to not only young female lacrosse players, but to new fans that haven’t been exposed to the high octane style of play that the sport has. Lacrosse has presented me with so many opportunities in my life, and giving back to the sport is something I can’t wait to do. Professional women’s lacrosse was an afterthought not long ago, even when I first began playing in college; with a league that possesses as much potential as the WPLL, I believe that the sky is the limit for the sport of women’s lacrosse.  I can’t wait to grow the game as a member of the WPLL family!” – Sam Jaffe, Marketing and Digital Media Coordinator
