Brett Ehrlich joins the WPLL as Sponsorship Advisor

Ehrlich will work closely with the WPLL leadership team on sponsorship strategy, partnership sales, business development and will be a liaison for the recently announced collaboration with the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL).

PENNINGTON, NJ (January 5, 2019) - The Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) is excited to announce the appointment of Hillside Sports Marketing founder Brett Ehrlich as Sponsorship Advisor. Ehrlich will work closely with the WPLL leadership team on sponsorship strategy, partnership sales, business development and will be a liaison for the recently announced collaboration with the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL).

“The WPLL is excited to have Brett on board. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a diverse expertise in sports and media. His experience, coupled with his passionate understanding of our mission, will undoubtedly impact the League in achieving our goals for 2019 and beyond” says Chief Operating Officer, Caitlin Jackson. 

Ehrlich launched boutique agency Hillside Sports Marketing in 2018 after 20+ years developing innovative partnerships at leading sports & media companies including Turner Sports, the NBA, SNY, CAA Sports, Discovery, Ascendant Sports Group & Univision.  HSM is focused on providing sponsorship strategy and expertise to early stage sports properties & events.

Most recently at Univision, Ehrlich led the UCI Live experiential sponsorship team and was integral to the development and success of the Prospects Cup, a U-12 boys soccer tournament that featured some of the top teams from across the world.  Previously he led sponsorship sales for a wide range of properties including Citi Bike and other bike share systems and the International Champions Cup soccer tournament.  

“As the dad of twin daughters just starting their lacrosse careers, I was immediately drawn to the mission of the WPLL- to make an impact with young, female athletes.” Ehrlich said. “With the incredible athletes on the field and best in class leadership team off the field, I’m thrilled to be able to use my sponsorship experience to help the growth of this amazing league.”

For the upcoming season, the WPLL will offer custom integrated sponsorships including broadcast/streaming integration, uniform branding, on-site game day activation, social & digital branded content to the highly engaged lacrosse community and alignment with the robust WPLL Futures development program.
